While the 6D Mark II is hardly light (at 765 g/26.98 oz), the 5D Mark IV is about 100 grams heavier (at 890 g/31.39 oz). This difference shouldn’t be too noticeable for most shooters, but you may start to feel the extra weight if you spend days with the 5D Mark IV in your hiking pack or if you’re the type who never leaves home without a camera.

The sensor on the 6D has a pixel pitch of 6.55 microns, compared to the 5D Mk2 with 6.4 and the 5D Mk 3 with 6.25. snaskigstil. • 2 yr. ago. I upgraded from a 5d classic to a 6d. As far as image quality I think the 6d holds up nicely when it comes to color. I use Canon DPP and do very minimal editing. (Neutral color profile, lens corrections and some exposure/curves tweaking) Pros: Better high iso performance (no banding etc)
