Wi-Fi abroad may not be free, so determine whether there will be a charge before you begin browsing the web or using your apps. Use calling apps over free Wi-Fi. You may be able to avoid or reduce voice roaming charges if you use mobile calling apps that rely on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and use these apps over free Wi-Fi.
We do not have the power to stop mobile providers charging customers for using their services when travelling, so this work will not be looking at the level of roaming prices. Sky started charging customers a £2 a day roaming charges from May 3, 2022 in 57 destinations. The fee is for a "Roaming Passport Plus" pass which is activated and added to your account when abroad. If you're after a one-month plan, Tesco Mobile offers its Family Pack one-month unlimited plan for £30 per month, to which you can add extra family members for another £10 each per month.
