Solas has a couple of unique lines (as almost all the companions do), but he's not really that involved in either JoH or Descent, if that makes your decision easier. I’d play both after the main game, and Descent after Jaws of Hakkon. JOH was fun and challenging but I’m being majorly fucked on Descent.
